As the setting for the adventures of the illustrious hidalgo, Casa de la Viña has all the charm of the large Manchego patios, which have been preserved intact despite the passing of time. Pioneers in the production of Valdepeñas wines, it was an elegant Mansion House as it was acquired by the Count of Casavaliente in 1857.
Nowadays, under the quality label of Vinos de la Tierra de Castilla , this historic estate makes strong, meaty wines, thanks to a microclimate which favours the cultivation of the Tempranillo , Cabernet Sauvignon , Merlot , Pinot Noir and Airén varieties. |
